All doorways in the front part of the house lead to the front hallway, a J-shaped area with the short tail starting at the stairs, the front door hitting the bottom curve, the doorless opening to the living room halfway up the long side, and the also doorless opening to the kitchen and dining room at the very top. The hall has a simple wooden floor, and decorated with a generic print of soft-colored flowers hanging on the wall to the right of the front door, and a tall table sitting under the print which serves as a place to toss keys. A closet under the stairs serves as a place to hang coats or to toss shoes.
The doorless opening to the living room is halfway up the side of the hall's J, and the word cozy might spring to mind when looking into is, as it seems to radiate comforting vibrations. A long couch sits against the south wall beneath a large bay window curtained only by sheers that manages to obscure the view in but only filters the day's light. A variety of out-of-date magazines are strewn atop a low coffee table; more neatly presented are the plethora of books filling the small bookshelves which line the eastern wall. Three chairs sit about the room, focused inward, to allow group conversations. Large floor pillows are stacked in one corner of the room, except one, which lies carelessly in the middle of the floor, apparently left out the last time it was used.
An opening in the northern end of the hallway allows access to the kitchen and dining room at the back of the house, while carpeted stairs twist up at the other end of the hall, leading to the second floor. A door at the base of the J lets out to the front porch.
Cameron looks up at Alicia, slightly surprised. "Well. Um. Yes, that'd be cool, I guess..." he looks at Eamon queryingly for a moment, before adding, "I mean... more teachers means a variety of techniques, yaes?"
Eamon arches an eyebrow at Alicia. "You kidding. A Child of Gaia that can shoot? That I gotta see."
The front door opens -- no knock, so it must be a resident or at least a frequent visitor -- sending a light draft through the room. Along with the brief chill, it admits Bernie, who pushes the door shut again behind her as she comes inside.
Alicia shrugs her shoulders. "You really want to see?" She asks, hopping to her feet. She looks dead serious for that matter.
Still lying on the floor, Cameron raises a hand and points at the door, and the brief chill that went with it's opening. "Uhm. I don't have to go out into that to do it, though, do I? I mean... we can fire guns in the house, right?" He trails off into self-deprecating sarcasm as he realises how stupid his suggestion is.
Eamon rolls his eyes at Cam. "You goofball. Yeah, sure, we can shoot in the barn if you want."
Eamon waves to Bernie.
Eamon looks at his watch. "Hmm. Can we do this later? I gotta get back home pretty soon."
Alicia glances over to Bernie, waving, then huffs a bit at Eamon's suggestion. "Ahh.. man.. I was hoping to bust some caps up in the barn. Show you how to handle a glock, with an without a silencer."
Cameron grins at Eamon, then turns the grin on Bernie. "G'day." Back to Eamon he laughs. "Of course. It's late, and I'm tired from all that walking in the cold anyways."
Bernie seems somewhat preoccupied as she enters, but the unfamiliar voices (not ot mention accent) grab her attention, and she glances over to those assembled, flashing them a quick smile. "Heya, 'licia," she greets the other girl, "...an' other people."
Eamon snorts laughter. "Honey, I grew up in Belfast, I've been shootin' since I was in diapers."
Alicia grins at Eamon, then nods her head. "Cool, then maybe I can learn something from you."
Cameron props himself up on an elbow, leaning to face Alicia. "Just 'cause Eamon's not ready to go put some holes in things doesn't mean you can't show me, does it?"
Alicia wets her lips some. "Um... not without an Elder supervising.. in case someone gets hurt.."
Eamon says "Hmm. Well, Better not use the barn, actually, it'll make too much noise. Don't want to draw too much suspicion. Unless you have a silencer."
"I c'n pretend t' be an elder 'f ya want," Bernie remarks, plopping down in whatever empty spot may still remain on the couch. "I'll jus' stand onna bale of hay so I look taller an' forbidding." She grins, and sets her backpack on the floor.
Alicia giggles at her best friend and flops down next to the Gnawer, wrapping an arm around her. "Ever used a potato? Those make dope silencers, or a pepsi bottle."
Cameron rolls onto his back and laughs. "Heh... I thought this was America... the land of the gun?" Snorting, he adds lowly, "Besides. Some parts of St. Claire you hear shots firing, and no-one goes to investigate those... But Rules Is Rules." he chuckles lightly to himself.
In the back of the house, Tecmessa steps into the dining room through the sliding glass door.
Eamon says "There's a firing range in town, but I dunno if you'd be allowed in."
Bernie smirks at the coggie, giving her a quick hug, "I -s'pose- I could use a potato for a pepsi bottle, but us'ly, I jus' find a glass..." She looks over at Cameron and Eamon, and lifts a hand in a quick wave. "Hey. I'm Bernie. I don't know you," she declares cheerfully.
Cameron shrugs. "Eighteen now. No ID, but." Rolling to face the couch, he looks at Bernie and smiles. "Introductions, I think. My name's Cameron. Fullerton."
Eamon waves at Bernie. "Hi there. Eamon Fitzpatrick."
Eamon stands and stretches. "Well, I gotta get going. I'll see you guys later. Stay out of trouble."
Cameron laughs and salutes from the floor. "I'll try."
In the back of the house, Tecmessa, looking somewhat tired and dusty, heads in the back door and pauses to get some liquid.
Alicia smiles and waves to Eamon. "It was nice seeing you. Take care of yourself." She squeezes Bernie once more.
Bernie nods, waving again. "Niceta meetcha..." She pauses, and adds, "...Rosenberg. Since y'all did last names." She sighs, nose wrinkling, and adds, "hate t' greet an' run, but I gotta go up and do a couple things. Maybe I'll come down an' bug y'all later, yeah?"
Eamon waves.
In the back of the house, Tecmessa, water glass in hand, ambles into the living room.
Alicia nods her head to Bernie and glances over to Tec, standing up. "Hey. Long time no see."
Cameron rolls back onto his back, and sends an upside-down wave to Bernie. "Hello-Goodbye." Looking curiously at Tec he twists his head somewhat, and adds "Hello?"
Bernie stands again as well, hefting the bag from the floor back onto her shoulder, and pushes a curl back behind her ear. Within five seconds, it pops right back out to where it began. "Have fun," she remarks, favouring each of them with a bright smile before she heads up the stairs.
Tecmessa gives Alicia a tired-looking grin, and then considers Cameron. "You," she says, as if dredging the memory from the depths, "Are a Fianna. Yes?"
