A statue of Jesus reportedly bled during 8AM mass today. The statue, which has stood in the church for over 50 years, appeared to bleed from the hands, feet and wound in the side according to awed parishoners.

"Its a miracle, that's what it is, a miracle!" cried Melody McPhee, 68, of St. Claire. Since word of the appearance of blood on the statue, the church has been crowded with worshippers and the curious.

The Vatican refused to comment on the case pending investigation, but the local clergy for St. Uriel's said that they are 'cautiously optimistic' that the event is genuine. "We aren't going to say for sure, but it seems the statue has not been tampered with. That's all we can say at this time."
