The room is fairly large, once the home of all the library's materials that fell under the heading of 700: Arts. Nearly all were taken along in the move to the new library, although a few particularly tatty specimens appear to have been left behind on one of the remaining bookshelves, of which there are several. One other is also still actually being used for its original purpose, bearing a collection of rather newer books in varying condition. Another seems to have become an ersatz dresser, with neatly folded clothing on the shelves and a towel hanging over one corner to dry. A wheeled suitcase seems to be acting as a drinks cabinet next to a desk and a pair of rickety chairs; most of the other furniture has been removed or shoved against a wall, out of the way, including a stained and lumpy twin mattress sitting on its short end. It's a corner room, and there are two many-paned, arch-topped windows in each of the outer walls. On one side, a queen-size mattress in much better repair is laid on the floor between them, with pillows and linens on it suggesting it sees regular use.
So! It's after dark sometime, and Lilah's curled up on their mattress, reading of course. This time, it's one of the newer books purchased at the bookstore, and she seems pretty engrossed. But I'm too lazy to look up a real book! She's been working a lot lately, but not to the bone. Still, it's been enough to get her a bit of overtime. That probably explains why there's a shopping bag or two nearby.
There is, oddly enough, a knock. Even more oddly, it isn't on their door -- it's on one of the windows. If she hears it and looks, she'll see Felix there, balanced on his toes on the window ledge, and giving her a grin.
Lilah looks up, startled, at the sound of the window knockage, setting her book aside immediately. Her eyes widen as she sees it's Felix, and she scrambles to get to her feet and head over toward the window, returning his grin. She unlocks the window, assuming it locks and unlocks, and then verrrrrrry carefully begins to lift up the window pane, so as not to dislodge him.
"Think of the happiest things; it's the same as having wings," Felix sings in greeting once the window opens, careful enough with his position not to get knocked off. He comes right in through it once there's enough room, boots hitting the floor and an arm going around Lilah to pull her in for a good thorough kiss. "Evenin', doll. Too bad we can't really fly, I'd take you to check out that Neverland place."
With a laugh, Lilah steps back to allow him the room, and then her laugh stops so that she can return that kiss. "Evenin'," she murmurs with a grin, and then asks, "Who ya think we are? Are you Peter Pan? 'm I Wendy?" She looks to be in fairly high spirits, and wraps her arms around his neck, trying to pull him in for another kiss.
Felix is quite happy to go along with that second kiss, waiting until it breaks to reach over and close the window behind him. "Well, I reckon so. You're a bit tall for Tinkerbell. An'," he shifts into singing again, "if growin' up means it would be beneath my dignity to climb a tree, I won't grow up, never grow up, never grow up, not me!" Another grin, and another kiss, and he heads over toward their bed, flopping down on it and trying to pull her along with him. "You have a good day?"
[...scene called on account of sleep; this one never got picked back up.]
